4 stars = really liked it
3 stars = liked it
2 stars = it was OK
1 star = did not like it
Right up until I started this blog I used to reserve 5-star ratings for only my most treasured of books. That left me with the problem of how to distinguish a perfectly adequate 4-star read from an truly excellent one. The simple answer: give them 5 stars! I have…and all the ratings you find here have been re-adjusted accordingly.
If I can’t find it in my heart to rate a book at 3 stars (at the very least) I will not give it a rating. It would be unprofessional of me to do so, for it would impact negatively on a fellow author’s hard-won ratings.
